Another week of college football, another win and cover for Kansas this past Saturday at Oklahoma State. With their perfect SU & ATS record intact, the Jayhawks will host Iowa State.

The Cyclones could be in prime upset mode though, as they've salvaged a once-horrific season by winning their last two games outright, and their last four ATS. Iowa State comes into this game on a brutal slide of 1-9 ATS on the road versus great run defenses (<=90 RYPG allowed), being outscored in those games by a whopping 53-13 margin. As part of its perfect record, Kansas is 3-0 ATS as a double-digit favorite, winning by 39 PPG.

Negative thinkers will point to Kansas less then strenuous non-conference slate (its been this way for years) and the fact they missed Oklahoma and Texas in particular on cross-over division play (they didn't get to choose). The facts are facts, Central Michigan is playing in MAC title game, they beat in-state rival Kansas State which is something the Longhorns couldn't do and they went to Boulder and defeated the Buffaloes, which the Sooners were not able to make happen. No matter, this is a very good football that should be in BCS title tilt if they are unbeaten.

Coach Gene Chizik came to Ames with cupboard awfully bare. As the season wore on, signs points to an offense that is last in points scored and a defense that was adequate. Once the coaches got thru to the players about protecting the ball and aggressively going after turnovers, the Cyclones got the message. After Texas thrashing, Iowa State played Oklahoma and Missouri tough and even upset Kansas State. The Cyclones covered the spread in all three contests and showed promise for the future as they close out season this week.

Key Trend The visiting team is 3-12-1 ATS dating back to 1991.

This is the Jayhawks last on campus contest with next week's Missouri conflict in Kansas City. Kansas is the favorite and the team in this role in this series is 9-4-1 ATS. Prediction Kansas by 19
